We need teen ambassadors!

The Marin Women’s Commission is seeking Marin teen girls, in Grades 8-12 to be Marin Teen Girl Ambassadors. The Ambassadors are a group of Marin teen girls who take ownership of the annual Marin Teen Girl Conference by helping develop the content. Each Ambassador will have a leadership role over the areas that bring the Conference to life, such as Community Partners, Marketing & Outreach, Social Media, Sponsors, and Speakers. The Marin Teen Girl Conference is a project of the Marin Women's Commission. Participants earn community service hours. The 2022 Conference will be held on March 20, 2022. Meetings happen every other Sunday evening time TBD from October until the conference date.

The Marin Women's Commission recognizes the need to broaden our search to find Ambassadors that better represent the makeup of our County. Our goal is to be inclusive in all aspects of the Conference from leadership and workshop offerings to Conference attendance. BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabled and marginalized girls are encouraged to apply.

The objectives of the Ambassador program are:

  • To make the Conference a collaborative effort of the teen girls – a conference “for girls, by girls.”
  • To give each Ambassador opportunities for growth and leadership among her peers by actively participating in one or more aspects of the planning (workshops, fundraising, outreach, etc.) and at the conference itself.
  • To serve as an ambassador, representing the Teen Girl Conference at your own school and community, and spreading the word and encouraging participation in the conference.
  • To attend ALL Ambassador meetings with the exception of TWO excused absences.

INTERVIEWS WILL BE HELD: September 4, 2021 - September 17, 2021
NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE: September 20, 2021
FIRST AMBASSADOR MEETING: September 26, 2021 (Lagoon Park - 160 Armory Dr. San Rafael, CA 94903 From 12pm-2pm)
